How to get to

Costa Adeje is located in the southwest corner of the island of Tenerife. Tenerife has two airports, the 'Reina Sofia Airport' in the south of the island, only fifteen minutes drive from Costa Adeje, and 'Los Rodeos Airport' which is in the north of the island. All visitors to Costa Adeje arrive by plane or ferry.

The island of Tenerife is located in the geographic centre of the Canary Islands, off the African coast of the former Spanish Sahara. Its strategic position, under the influence of cold ocean currents and trade winds allowed the area to serve as an important communication point between Europe, Africa and America.

The island has two airports: Tenerife South Airport, known as "Reina Sofia", and Tenerife North Airport, also known as "Los Rodeos". The Reina Sofia airport is modern and welcomes most international air traffic to the island.

Reina Sofia International Airport mostly welcomes tourists from many European cities, while Tenerife North Airport handles domestic flights from Spain and the other islands that form the Canaries.

Once on the island of Tenerife, you have various means of getting to Costa Adeje, the most popular being taxis, buses and rental cars.

Reina Sofia has a huge car park, offering parking spots at very cheap prices when compared to other international airports, althoug many tourists opt to rent a car so they can go straight from the airport to Costa Adeje, quickly and comfortably.

Another alternative is to travel to Costa Adeje is by boat. Tenerife has two main ports: the Port of Santa Cruz ('Puerto de Santa Cruz') that is linked to the capitals of each island and welcomes many international cruiseliners and the port of 'Los Cristianos' which is situated just 5km to the south of Costa Adeje and which mainly offers ferry connections with Santa Cruz de Tenerife and other smaller ports on the island.
